Owls N' Things

is located in Outing, Minnesota. 

         Owls N' Things was originally started in 1967 as Things N' Things.  The business has been in its present location since 1972.  The name, Owls N' Things occurred after an ownership change and has since become a very well known ice cream and gift shop in the lake country of northern Minnesota.  The business has grown over the past years, more than doubling the original square footage of the original building. In 2004, an additional store was opened to accomodate the growth of the business.  It is known as Owls N' Things Home & Cabin and is located right next door.  Owls N' Things has numerous gift lines, souvenirs, up north decor, greeting cards, linens, balloons, lamps,  candles, soap, figurines, prints, clothing moccasins, things for kids (toys), and the best of everything - ice cream!  Hand dipped Kemps ice cream with more than 32 flavors to satisfy best of the ice cream lover!

Owls N' Things has remained a business that many generations of families have made a stopping place while traveling to and from the North Country for over three decades.  Our customers have become our family as they enjoy the many shopping experiences, and of course the "best" ice cream cone in the North!

Who We Are

Owls N' Things, ice cream and gift shop has been owned and operated by Larry and Kathy since 1995  They have made many improvements.  Going from 16 flavors to 38 plus! This past year  Kemps Itti Bitz were added to the ice cream menu.  They were a hit!  Little bits of ice cream!  As the years have passed, more items have been added and the shops continue to be the destination for your ice cream, Outing wear, lake shirts, gifts and souveniers.

  Summer will once again bring all our friends to the north country for ice cream treats and shopping.
